Renovation of an educational facility in Marquette, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Professional Service Contractor shall provide all professional services, technical staff and support personnel to achieve the project in the best interest of the University and the State of Michigan. Such services shall comprise, without exception, every professional discipline and expertise necessary to meet all the requirements outlined in the currentState of Michigan Capital Outlay Design Manual.The professional may not employ in any element of design, specification or estimating of this project any firm who anticipates being a supplier or bidder for the project or any part thereof. The service includes attendance at project related meetings and conferences to facilitate design of this project. Services shall be provided in in accordance with the task descriptions in this article and the current State of Michigan Capital Outlay Design Manual. The Professional Service Contractor will facilitate and work with University personnel and committees to develop and refine project scope and design through each phase. It is anticipated at least two working groups will be established to oversee design: A Core and an Advisory committee. Other groups may include, but are not limited to: academic and administrative departments, the NMU Department of Facilities, Audio Visual Department, IT and Police Services. It is also anticipated that the Professional Service Contractor share provide all drawings, reports, summaries and submittals as described in the current Capital Outlay Manual. The following phase descriptions intend to outline such services, but do not limit or exclude, any regular or normal professional services necessary to accomplish the project within accepted requisites and standards of professional practice and/or those noted in the current State of Michigan Capital Outlay Design Manual.
