This project will be funded with 2024 LMIG and SPLOST funds. Construction includes Shoulder Widening on Johnstonville Road (6.95 mi) and Van Buren Road (5.85 mi) within Lamar County. The work will include 5,490 tons of asphalt shoulder paving (Johnstonville Road) and 4,620 tons of asphalt shoulder paving and 15 tons ofspot leveling (Van Buren Road) and edge line paint striping. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department ofTransportation's (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, Current Edition; GDOT's Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, Current Edition; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details; and other contract requirements, specifications and general conditions. (Questions must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd, 2024). Responses will be posted to the FTP site as an Addendum. Additional addendums may be issued during the proposal period. All proposers are responsible to check the Engineer's FTP site for addendums. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid-proposal are contained in this packet. Bids must be typed or printed in ink. Bids submitted as a result ofthis invitation must include the "Bid Sheet" and bids on both options to be considered along with all required documents and be returned in a sealed envelope or container marked, Any questions and /or misunderstandings that may arise from this invitation shall be submitted in writing at least 10 days prior to the bid opening. The County will not respond to any questions received within 72 hours prior to the bid opening. Answers to questions submitted that materially change the conditions and specifications ofthis invitation for bid will be promulgated to all addressees as an addendum. Any discussions or documents will be considered non-binding unless incorporated and promulgated in an addendum.
