1.2. Background
The Town of Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department has restrooms at 10 different park
locations. Their maintenance falls under the oversight of the Parks and Recreation Department.
The Town strives to build an exceptionally built community and views these facilities as a major
part of that. The Town expects these facilities to be maintained at a high level to maximize the
community's return on investment. Only high-quality workmanship will be accepted. All
bidders need to be prepared to handle public complaints and be willing to be actively engaged
with them when needed. Contractor staff is required to use appropriate language at all times
since the parks are heavily used by our residents and reflect on both the Contractor and Gilbert.
