Replacement siding can be purchased or milled from spruce or similar smooth exposed side. Replacement of siding quantity will be agreed upon by the awarded contractor and the City representative by field observations. Siding remaining in place should have the existing paint removed by mechanical or chemical methods. Siding to be attached with ring shank siding nails (1 1/4 " minimum penetration into studs) at 16" OC. Existing nails to be reset or replaced throughout. Siding to be caulked at all joints with paintable silicone-based caulk. Any knots or resin areas are to be sealed and sanded. Siding to be sealed with Sherwin Williams base primer (exterior grade) and receive two coats of paint per plan. METAL SKIRT REMOVE AND REPLACE Existing skirt is to be removed and disposed of by the contractor. Replacement skirt is to be 1/8" simulated cement block (similar to existing). Metal skirt to be placed over cement block as well as with the skirt frame. Skirt frame to be added per plans with 8" x 6" deep strip footing (3000 psi concrete).
