The purpose of this combined synopsis and solicitation is for the purchase, delivery, and installation of new whiteboard material to caddonvert or resurface eight existing chalkboards into whiteboards per the description and guidelines provided in the Statement of Objectives (SOO), Attachment 1. Mountain Daylight Time. The questions and answers will be compiled and posted in SAM.gov under the solicitation notice. PROJECT OVERVIEW FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES: Twelve cadet classrooms require chalk board resurfacing to white board conversion. This strategy has been executed this year using Platinum Visual Systems Marker Wall System. To create a standardized classroom template new installation will need to match exactly the Laminated Marker Wall panels, Porcelain-on-steel magnetic writing surface, with 6100L Low gloss white and 1/2 inch Particle Boards with Aluminum backing prefabricated off site and installed on existing substrate. White Board joints must be covered and appear seamless. Attachment established with adhering boards to substrate with wall mounts at top and bottom of the board to cover non-usable existing areas. The Dean of Faculty needs to replace or add new white boards to adhere to plywood substrates or slate chalkboards, to completely cover the existing substrate and frame the completed boards with approximately 1/2 inch wide brushed aluminum frames, consistent with the previously refurbished room. All chalk/marker trays are intact and usable. The existing metal and porcelain materials that have come off of the substrates or will have to be removed and will need to be discarded off base.
