Re-Seal/Repair Concrete Joints & Cracks, Panel Replacement, Marking of Runway 15/33, Taxiways, Apron, Hangar Pavements. Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary to: ReSeal/Repair Concrete Joints & Cracks, Panel Replacement, Marking of RW 15/33, Taxiways, Apron, Hangar Pavements. In general, this work will require the following approximate quantities: Joint and Crack Sealing (104,685 LF); 6-inch Concrete Pavement Repair (207 SY); Pavement Marking (43,556 SF) Location Details Site Address: 3301 North Business Parkway City: Falls City County: Richardson State/Province: NE Site Directions: From Falls City, Nebraska - travel east on E 21st Street for approximately 4,300 feet and follow the curve north onto 652 Blvd and proceed north for approximately 4,100 feet to the entrance of the Brenner Field Airport. Questions regarding bids shall be directed to Josh Keithley, P.E., consulting engineer at (402) 786-2203. Contractors bidding need not be pre-qualified but shall be qualified to do the work. Contractors may inspect the project site by arrangement with Dave Mullins (402) 801-1364, Falls City Airport Authority. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be a cashier's check, a certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond made payable to Falls City Airport Authority. This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with the wage and labor requirements and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation. The Airport Sponsor has established a contract goal of 0.97% participation for small business concerns owned and controlled by qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE). The bidder shall make and document good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26, to meet the established goal. Title VI Solicitation Notice: The Falls City Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and no businesses will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, including limited English proficiency), creed, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), age, or disability in consideration for an award. DOT Regulation 49 - Section 6002 - Solid Waste Disposal Act - Procurement of Recovered Materials TITLE 49 United States Code, CHAPTER 50101 - Buy American Preferences TITLE 49 United States Code, CHAPTER 47123 - TITLE VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations Contract Time and Start Date The Owner has established a contract performance time of Phase 1: 30 working days and Phase 2: 30 working days for a total of 60 working days from the date of the Notice-to Proceed. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual. The Construction shall begin in the spring, summer or fall of 2024. Compliance with these specifications for submittals of mix designs, shop drawings, schedule, Safety Plan Compliance Document (SPCD), etc. and holding a Preconstruction Conference is required prior to the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The date of the Notice to Proceed shall take into consideration material delivery schedules and the contractor's other commitments, while meeting the Owner's needs and ensuring that the project is completed by October 31, 2024. If the Contractor elects to begin work in the fall of 2024 and is unable to complete the work before winter, the Contractor will be required to take any and all temporary measures necessary to open all existing pavement to aircraft traffic. Additional costs and materials associated with the winter shutdown will be the Contractor's responsibility. Bid Security Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by cashier's check, a certified check ona solvent bank or a bid bond made payable to the Falls City Airport Authority. Bonding Requirements The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of contract execution.
