CTAHR Waialee Research Station, Decommission Oxidation Pond, Bldg Demo and Septic Install The University of Hawaii's SPECIAL PROVISIONS and GENERAL PROVISIONS following these specifications shall be read by the Contractor as they form a part of the agreement to be entered into between the Contractor and the University of Hawaii. These SPECIAL PROVISIONS and GENERAL PROVISIONS accompanying these specifications shall govern all work specified hereinafter in all Divisions and Sections. Basic Bid: The project includes but is not limited to, temporary erosion and sediment control plan (ESCP), best management practices (BMPs), stabilized construction entrance; As indicated in drawings "UHM CTAHR Waialee Livestock Research Station Capital Improvements Project - Decomission Oxidation Pond": Demolition and removal of sewer lines, sewer manholes (5), seepage pits (2), septic tank, inlet and outlet structures, concrete structures (3), and fences related to the decommissioning of a former oxidation pond. Grading and grassing of former oxidation pond to match surrounding area. Removal of trees (17) is also included. As indicated in drawings "CTAHR Waialee Research Station - Building Demolition and Septic Installation": Demolition of six (6) structures including the Beef Office & Barn, Scale House, Feed Lot, Swine Barn, Swine Nursery, and Silage Pit Walls; installation of two (2) septic tanks, grassing, hazardous material abatement, and miscellaneous related work. On-site construction time for this project shall commence on or about October 1, 2024, and be completed by May 30, 2025. All other project requirements shall be completed on or before July 30, 2025. The University reserves the right at any time to contract for or otherwise perform other or additional work within the Project Contract limits. The Contractor of this project shall to the extent ordered by the University, conduct its work so as to not interfere with or hinder the progress of completion of the work performed by the University or other Contractors
