Renovation of a fire / police facility in Newton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
City of Newton Fire Department Reinforcing-This project includes reinforcing the City of Newton Fire Department engine bay floor. Contractors submitting quotations pursuant to this RFQ shall be required to commit to the completion of the work on or before April 30, 2025, and pay liquidated damages of one hundred dollars and zero cents ($100.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Execution of Contract Upon Acceptance and Approval of Performance and Payment Bond and Evidence of Insurance. Upon the City's determination which contractor has submitted the lowest responsive, responsible quotation, the City will take action to award the contract to that contractor, conditioned upon the contractor's submission and the City's approval of the contractor's evidence of insurance and further conditioned upon the contractor's execution of a contract in the form included with this RFQ and its approval and execution by the City The City of Newton does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the jurisdiction.
