The City of Danville is accepting sealed proposals for interior upgrades to the Public Works Facility Proposals are to be submitted by the square foot of the building with an understanding that the project may be awarded by square foot. INTERIOR UPGRADE DESCRIPTION Project will be broken down into separate phases. In conjunction with the Public Works HVAC project. All current carpet and cove base will be removed and replaced. JOB DESCRIPTION Phase 1 1. Dispose of all construction materials. 2. Provide your own equipment for construction. 3. Remove all carpet and cove base. 4. Prep concrete surface for new carpet. 5. Install new carpet squares and cove base. Phase 2 1. Dispose of all construction materials. 2. Provide your own equipment for construction. 3. Remove all carpet and cove base. 4. Prep concrete surface for new carpet. 5. Install new carpet squares and cove base. Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and all other Federal, State, and local laws shall be a part of this project. Submit questions about the RFQ documents in writing to the City of Danville no less than 5 days before the time scheduled for opening RFQs via the Request for Information Form. Necessary replies will be issued to all prime bidders of record as addenda which becomes part of the bidding instruments. Oral instructions do not form a part of the bidding instrument. Prime bidders shall check with the City within 72 hours before the RFQ opening to confirm any addenda affecting bidding. RFQ security shall be made payable to the City of Danville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total RFQ amount. The successful Bidder's security will be retained until the contract has been signed and the project is completed. The City reserves the right to retain the security of the next lowest bidder until a contract has been signed or until sixty (60) days following the RFQ opening, whichever is shorter. All other bid securities shall be returned as soon as practicable. Should any bidder refuse to enter and/or perform a contract, under the terms of the bidding instrument, the City will retain the bid security without prejudice against any other damages or remedies the City may pursue. ACCEPTANCE/ REJECTION: The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all RFQs, waive any technicalities or informalities, postpone the RFQ opening, reject RFQs, and/or award the Contract as determined to be in the best interest of the City of Danville. Award of the successful RFQ shall be accomplished by acceptance of the RFQ by the City Council of the City of Danville and the execution of a purchase order to the successful Bidder. Award of Contract may include full consideration of completion time and substitutions. The City intends to have all work completed no later than July 1, 2024. The City may accept or reject any or all substitutions.
