Renovation of a mixed-use development in Weslaco, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

DEA Public Schools and affiliated entities (IDEA) are accepting proposals from qualified and experienced firms for IDEA Public Schools Electrical Switchgear Upgrades at Multiple Campuses project, in accordance with instructions, specifications, terms, and conditions contained in this solicitation. Proposals received after this time will not be accepted and returned unopened. Scope of Work for Bid: Provide all materials and labor associated with complete operational systems. Major items of work include, but are not limited to: Base Proposal Scope of Work includes the following: a. Electrical Service(s): To remain as is except for Mission Campus. b. IDEA Brownsville: To remain as is. c. IDEA Edinburg: To remain as is. d. IDEA Frontier: To remain as is. e. IDEA Mission: Modify the existing underground electrical service; coordinate work with AEP and IDEA PS staff. The utility company will remove existing pad mount txfmr for contractor to modify the existing txfmr concrete pad as noted on the structural plans. The utility company shall remove and provide medium voltage conductors and reinstall the transformer. f. IDEA Pharr: To remain as is.g. IDEA Quest: To remain as is. h. IDEA San Benito: To remain as is. i. Switchboard(s): Disconnect and remove existing where noted. Provide new pad mounted outdoor rated. j. Panelboard(s): Disconnect and remove existing where noted. Provide new outdoor rated. k. Feeders & Branch circuits: Temporarily disconnect and or remove and replaced as noted. Reconnect and or provide new as noted. l. Commissioning: Provide electrical equipment. Proposals must be on a lump sum basis including General Contract and Electrical work. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the largest possible total of proposals submitted must accompany each proposal in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract value will be required upon issuance of contract No Proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after Proposal due date without the consent of the Owner. Personal delivery of Proposal is recommended. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids or accept any Proposal or portion thereof most advantageous to the Owner after the ranking and evaluation. Each Bidder will be held to have studied the Plans and Specifications, to have visited all sites affecting the proposed work, to have satisfied themselves regarding all existing conditions and measurements, and to have included in their Proposal an amount sufficient to cover all work. To schedule additional site visits, please contact the Owner. All firms submitting Bids for this project are required to meet all qualification requirements as established in these Bid documents. Should any Bidder find discrepancies between the Plans and Specifications, or be in doubt as to their exact meaning, they should notify the Engineer at once. The Engineer may, but is not required to, issue an addendum clarifying same. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for oral instructions or for misinterpretations of Plans and Specifications. Additional information including addenda will be issued to known plan holders including construction plan rooms.
