Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Monterey, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition, off haul and disposal of asphalt concrete pavement, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, storm drain infrastructure necessary to construct concrete ADA curb ramp improvements, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm drain infrastructure and recompaction/preparation of existing base materials, placement of HMA including pavement interlayer, pavement striping and markings, in addition to all necessary environmental pollution prevention traffic control requirements. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to download all bid documents for review before submitting a bid. Any Addenda will be posted on OpenGov Procurement. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to check OpenGov Procurement on a daily basis through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates. The City does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, scanning, downloading or printing of the bid documents. Information on OpenGov Procurement may change without notice to prospective bidders. The Contract Documents shall supersede any information posted or transmitted by OpenGov Procurement. Question Submission Deadline:April 10, 2024, 5:00pm Engineers Estimate $750,000 In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition, off haul and disposal of asphalt concrete pavement, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, storm drain infrastructure necessary to construct concrete ADA curb ramp improvements, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, storm drain infrastructure and recompaction/preparation of existing base materials, placement of HMA including pavement interlayer, pavement striping and markings, in addition to all necessary environmental pollution prevention traffic control requirements. Schedule A is intended be completed during the school's summer period. School ends 5/31/2024 and begins 8/1/2024 allowing construction in June and July 2024. Construction during the school period shall have modified working hours to minimize impacts during school drop off and pick up. The modified working hours are further described in the Special Provisions Part IV. Schedule B: Larkin 500 Block shall be completed after CalAm replaces the water main on this segment. This work is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2024. This work shall not commence until after the City issued a separate Notice to Proceed. Measurement and payment for this item shall be on a per square foot (SF) basis. The work shall include, but not be limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for demolishing and disposing of concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, sidewalk crossings and driveways, as shown on the plans, and as specified in the Standard Specifications, these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer. Removal of adjacent retaining curb 0" to 6" is included in this item and is paid for based on the curb area in the horizontal plane. Removal of curb and gutter adjoining driveways and curb ramps is not included in this bid item, but is paid for under Remove Concrete Curb and Gutter.
