2024 Countywide State Aid Roadway Safety Project The approximate quantities of the principal items of work are as follows: PAY ITEM PAY UNIT QUANTITY TRAFFIC STRIPES, 4" L.F. 750,000 TRAFFIC STRIPES, 8" L.F. 50,000 TRAFFIC MARKINGS SYMBOLS S.F. 7,500 TRAFFIC MARKINGS LINES, 4" L.F. 2,000 TRAFFIC MARKINGS LINES, 8" L.F. 15,000 TRAFFIC MARKINGS LINES, 24" L.F. 15,000 TRAFFIC MARKINGS, 4" PREFORMED BLUE TAPE L.F. 600 TRAFFIC MARKINGS, PREFORMED HANDICAP SYMBOL UNIT 6 REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC STRIPES L.F. 2,500 REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC MARKINGS S.F. 500 BEAM GUIDE RAIL L.F. 1,500 VARIOUS GUIDE RAIL END TREATMENTS AND CONNECTIONS UNIT 45 FLEXIBLE DELINEATOR, GROUND MOUNTED UNIT 25 RPM, BI-DIRECTIONAL UNIT 1,500 RPM, MONO-DIRECTIONAL UNIT 850 The Bids Must Be Accompanied by 1. A Proposal Bond Approved by the County Solicitor in an Amount Equal to 10% of Total Bid, but Not in Excess of $20,000.00. A Certificate (Consent of Surety) as Per N.j.s.a. 40a:11-22 From a Surety Company Stating That It Will Provide the Bidder if Successful, With a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the Sum of Not Less Than the Total Contract. A Completed Non-collusion Affidavit. A Completed Public Disclosure Information Sheet Indicating Stockholders in The Corporation or Partnership Who Owns 10% or More of Its Stock as Provided in N.j.s.a. 52:25 24.2. Wage and Hour Compliance Acknowledgment. Each Bid Must Be Signed in Ink by an Authorized Representative of the Company, and Be Delivered at the Place and on the Hour Named Above. If Mailed, The Sealed Bid Envelop Must Be Within an Outer Mailing Envelope, and Be Received At the Office of the County Purchasing Agent Prior to the Hour Named Above. The Purchasing Agent or the Board of County Commissioners, Reserves the Right to Reject Any Or All Bids, Waive Any Irregularities and to Award the Contract to the Bidder Whose Proposal is Best Suited to the County's Requirements. Any Bid Obviously Unbalanced May Be Rejected. Bidders Are Required to Comply With the Requirements of N.j.s.a. 10:5-31 Et Seq. And N.j.a.c. 17:27, Laws Against Discrimination Because of Race, Religion, Sex, Color, Etc. All Bidders Are Hereby Notified That Compliance With the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.j.s.a.34:11-56.25, Et. Seq.) and/or County of Gloucester Rules and Regulations That Are Applicable To This Project Will Be Required of Any Contract Awarded. This project will consist of the construction of raised pavement markers, flexible delineators, guiderail replacement (including removal of old guiderail end sections and construction of current compliant end sections, removal and reinstallation of guiderail to meet current material standards), traffic stripes, long life, epoxy resin for edge lines, centerline, lane lines, etc. within the County of Gloucester. Also to be constructed are traffic markings, lines and symbols utilizing thermoplastic paint as well as removal of traffic stripes and markings. All items in this contract are if and where directed items and may be directed to any roadway within the County, including Municipal roads, at the discretion of the County Engineer. The County reserves the right to direct additional quantities at any of the locations within the project.
