The Wilcox County Board of Education is soliciting bids for grass cutting and grounds maintenance including mowing grass, weed eating, edging, etc. This includes the PK-12 school, the baseball, softball, and football fields, the old school complex, the bus shop, Wilcox County Board of Education, and the 7th Ave Extension. Grass cutting and grounds maintenance at the old school complex should be quoted as a separate cost from the PK-12 campus/7th Ave Extension quote and the Board of Education quote. Also, add a separate line item for cutting the designated area to be mowed with a tractor with mower per cutting once a month. All bids should be quoted per cutting. The successful bidder(s) will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to cut and maintain the grounds of Wilcox County Schools and athletic facilities. Information on the PK-12 School and the locations at the existing schools that will be included in the grass cutting-grounds maintenance bid will be provided upon request. All interested parties must include an executed copy of the Wilcox County Schools Contractor Agreement (available at the BOE office: see Gillian McWhorter 229-467-2141 Ext. 221 or online ). Copies of valid herbicide/insecticide application licenses should be available upon request. The Wilcox County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any bid regardless of the amount quoted.
