The City is seeking Proposals from qualified proponents to provide professional construction management services for the construction of the new Guelph Transit and Fleet Services Facility with an administration office. Project description is as follows: a one-storey transit bus storage area with space to accommodate parking for 176 standard buses, 31 mobility buses, and 16 SUV's; 6 cleaning, fueling and fluid refilling bays; 2 automatic bus wash bays including wash water recycling system; bus charging equipment; and interior circulation lanes. A one-storey fleet maintenance garage with space to accommodate 2 extra large service bays to service fire trucks; 30 large vehicle service bays; 8 medium vehicle service bays; 12 small vehicle service bays; 2 inspection puts with below grade access; manual washing and degreasing bay; welding and fabrication shop; small engine/parts repair shop; parts storage including unloading dock; additional storage space; and potential for additional space on mezzanine. A two-storey administration area capable of accommodating lockers and changerooms for up to 350 transit employees and 105 fleet employees; washrooms; lunchrooms; a wellness centre; offices; supervisor control room; and training and meeting rooms.
