Renovation of a transportation facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Work of the project is as follows: Contractor will develop and include a survey (assessment/report) of the existing conditions, power requirements, functionality, applicable appurtenances, existing utilities and electrical systems involving a estimated thirteen (13) generators of various power requirements to be replaced by the Contractor. The survey/assessment shall be a written report submitted to the Project Engineer and detailed to identify all scope necessary to meet or exceed power requirements, furnish, install, test, commission, and start-up of new generators and their applicable systems that replaces existing. The Contractor shall furnish and install all equipment, devices, concrete, wire and conduit, necessary to rewire the existing electrical system/systems, and provide an automatic transfer / automatic startup, emergency backup generator systems. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and material necessary to disconnect, remove, and dispose of existing generator where required. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and material necessary to rig and set in place a new generator to replace existing generator or otherwise as identified in table below, herein. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and material necessary to provide new generator to meet adequate power requirements for each location identified in table below herein Contractor will supply concrete pad for generators. Concrete pad must meet generator manufacturer specifications. Existing concrete pad can be reused if deemed in good condition. Contractor is responsible to establish new utility service accounts with electric/natural gas/propane company where required and transfer account to Owner after project completion and acceptance. Account will be tax exempt. Electrical work consists of connecting new generator to the existing electrical wiring along with new automatic transfer switch / automatic startup, grounding, testing.
