**As of May 1, 2024, the project was awarded to Hernandez Roofing, but the awarded amount is not available.** The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) invites qualified Roofing Contractors to bid on a summer of 2024 gymnasium and cafeteria roof replacement project at Pleasant Prairie Elementary School. Project scope of work includes, but is not limited to, existing roof tear off, insulation replacement new roof material, wood blocking and metal coping. The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive any informality or technicality in any bid/proposal submitted, and to accept any part of a bid/proposal deemed to be in the best interest of KUSD. KUSD reserves the right to negotiate with any company after the bid opening has occurred. This project is considered a "Turn-Key" installation project, which includes all of the necessary permits, fees and approvals included in the contractor's bid. This statement is given only for the purpose of familiarizing prospective Bidders with the Project and is not intended to give Bidders a complete description of all the Work or materials. It is intended only as an aid for understanding the scope of the Project. All dimensions and existing conditions are to be verified by the Bidder. Roofing: i. Coordinate all roofing operations with the Owner and Architect. ii. Perform all Work in accordance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances. iii. Furnish and install all contingent work as necessary and required to fully complete the project per the intent of this Project Manual. iv. Removal of existing roof membrane and flashing systems, as well as all existing insulation for new roofing systems. v. Installation of EPDM roof membrane with associated accessories (see drawings). vi. New insulation system with first layer mechanically attached and subsequent layers set in low-rise foam adhesive.
