Canton Water Treatment Plant Renovation - Phase 1 Est. Value: $ 750,000.00 Pre-Bid Meeting Info: None The Project Generally Consists of: Replacement of Filter Media and Underdrain System for Six Existing Filters, With All Accessories and Appurtenances. Work Included: Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and specified material to complete the project as described herein. This section requires the furnishing and installation of equipment for six (6) existing filters as shown on the contract drawings. The six (6) filters each have internal dimensions of 16-0 x 15-0. The work under this Section includes: 1. Remove all filter media from filters 1-6 and dispose off-site in an approved landfill. 2. Remove existing underdrain system from Filters 2 and 3 3. Install new underdrain system in Filters 2 and 3 and install media retention cap on existing underdrain in Filter 1. 4. Inspect and clean the filter underdrain system in Filters 1, 4, 5 and 6 5. Install Wheeler Bottom Hopper Liners in Filters 4-6 (BID ALTERNATE) 6. Replace Porcelain Spheres in Filters 4-6 7. Replace and test gravel support media in Filters 2-6 Question Deadline 04/18/2024 8. Replace and test filter sand and anthracite media in Filters 2-6 Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
