Pending lead times for doors and hardware, CMC wishes to have all three sites completed by August 14, 2024. If lead times do allow for this, installation will begin in May 2025. CMC reserves the right to cancel this RFP, in whole or in part, at any time, if it is in the best interest of CMC or fair competition. Colorado Mountain College invites contractors to submit proposals to replace all exterior doors at the residence halls on the Steamboat Springs (Hill Hall), Leadville (Mountain View), and Spring ValleyGlenwood Springs (Sopris Hall) campuses. These three buildings are almost thirty years old and have seven door sets per site to be replaced from stair egress, mechanical rooms, and main entrances/exits. Management has prioritized the replacement of the exterior doors to improve safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency. Contractors may bid on one, two, or all three sites. CMC will review and rank bids based on pricing, contractor qualifications, and schedule. Campus LocationsHill Hall-Steamboat Springs 1400 Bob Adams Drive Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 Mountain View-Leadville 901 South Hwy 24 Leadville, CO 8046 Sopris Hall-Spring Valley 3000 Co Road 114 Glenwood Springs, CO 8160 CMC is looking for a contractor to coordinate the demolition of existing doors and the installation of all new doors, frames, and hardware. The selected contractor will coordinate the installation of the existing ADA openers and access control. Door hardware schedule specifications note this, but CMC will be responsible for the installation of cores and keying of doors. The door schedules for all three campuses are consistent, but frame sizes will need to be verified by the contractor. 1. Contractor to dispose of all existing door, but return hardware to CMC Construction Manager. 2. The two main entry doors on each building have Electric ADA operators that are mounted above the door frame header in CMU block. The arms will be removed and connected to the new door by contractor and the ADA operators will be reused. 3. All frames are 4 1/2" wide Aluminum Storefront and are to be anchored into Concrete Rough openings. 4. All Glass is 1" insulated Solar ban 60 Gray tint. 5. Mapes material (Door C) is clear aluminum 1/16" thick smooth, double-sided over wood material and installed in the frame with rubber gaskets material like windows. 6. Account for existing low voltage wire in frames. Remove and reroute wires for electric strikes. Door and frame installer will not be responsible for access control reroute of existing wiring. 7. Existing Cores in door lock shall be returned to CMC and will be reused. 8. Existing shop drawings are for bid purposes only. Field verification is required before ordering. 9. CMC expects that the contractor will submit shop drawings to CMC for review and approval. 10. Attendance mandatory for walk thru. 11. All finishes are clear Aluminum.
