**As of June 5, 2024, the project was awarded to Nunn Construction, but the awarded amount is not available.** The project will expand and renovate two existing restrooms within Escalante Residence Hall. The existing restrooms are original 1960 vintage construction and one restroom is located on the 1st floor and the other is located on the 2nd floor level. The existing restrooms will be enlarged by incorporating an adjacent bedroom space into each restroom. The work will need to be completed during the summer of 2024 before FLC students return for the Fall semester. In advance of the renovation work, an associated asbestos abatement project will occur within the project footprint. Project work will include demolition and the installation of new plumbing fixtures, new lighting, and new finishes. Associated rough mechanical, electrical and plumbing work will be required. Minor structural work will also be required to create new openings between the existing restrooms and the adjacent bedrooms that will become part of the new restroom footprint.
