Construction can be completed in 2025. The City desires to contract with a design/build (D/B) design team that will provide full design services for the development of amenities in two existing neighborhood parks: Kensington, Lanyon. Amenities in Spangler Park are a value-added option. GMP should be finalized in fall 2024. The goal is to requisition funding for construction no later than October 2024. Construction can start in 2025 and should be complete before the end of 2025. Full design for the parks based on the approved master plan, including: o Kensington and Spangler parks are in floodplain. Floodplain permitting will be required for these parks. The design of Kensington Park will require a no-rise certification. Permitting and no-rise certification will not be able to use a hydrological model. Hydrological model does not yet exist for this watershed. o In all areas where existing lawn will be replaced irrigation system redesign is needed. o Design must include the necessary ADA compliant circulation to the new amenities. o Water feature(s) design should include the design of necessary infrastructure including water and electric if needed. Sustainable water use is a goal of the City. Grey water reuse, low emitting fixtures and other sustainable elements are encouraged. o Sustainability is a priority for the City. Sustainable design, practices and materials encouraged. o All construction drawings, specifications and details related to the construction of the park amenities to meet City Standards and all applicable codes. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposal submittals and is under no obligation to award any business to any proposer as a result of the BVA RFP process.
