Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Adrian, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Contractors awarded contracts will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance as follows - a. Statutory Workers' Compensation/Employers' Liability Insurance for not less than $500,000 each accident/ $500,000 bodily injury; Disease-policy limit/$500,000 each employee. b. Commercial General Liability Insurance, including Blanket Contractual Liability with Limits of not less than $ 1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate; Bodily Injury and Property Damage $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate. c. Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance covering all Owned, Non-Owned or Hired Vehicles with Combined Single Limit Bodily Injury and Property Damage of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence. d. Umbrella or all-risk coverage in an amount not less than $5,000,000 on contracts over $50,000 only. e. Krieghoff-Lenawee Company and the Owner shall be named as additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis, and coverage to include premises operations and completed operations. f. Prior to commencement of the work, the contractor must obtain and thereafter maintain in effect the insurance coverage described herein and provide Krieghoff-Lenawee Company evidence of the required insurance. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in an amount of not less than 5% of the total base bid sum, pledging that the bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner under the terms stated in the Bidding Documents. The amount of the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner upon failure of the successful Bidder to enter into a contract within fifteen (15) days after acceptance of the proposal. . The Bidder shall, within 15 days after the acceptance of any proposal, provide a Labor and Material Payment and Performance Bond, each covering the full amount of the Contract sum as security for the faithful performance of all work under the Contract and payment of all charges in connection therewith. Costs of said bonds shall be included in the base bid. Whether the Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond is single or dual oblige, trade contractor must provide a "Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond", AIA Document A312, December 1984, Third Printing 1987, of the American Institute of Architects, which are hereby made a part of the Contract Documents, the same as if bound herein. The Performance and Payment Bond shall be part of the Contract and shall apply to all Trace Contractors Contract Documents. PROJECT INFORMATION A. Project Identification: 116-120 S. Main Street Demolition . 1. Project Location: 116-120 S. Main St, Adrian, MI 49221. B. Owner: City of Adrian. 1. Owner's Representative: Glenn Preston . C. Construction Manager: Krieghoff-Lenawee. Work Package: A group of specifications, drawings, and schedules prepared by the design team to describe a portion of the Project Work for pricing, permitting, and construction. Construction Manager Representative: Jake Wright, jake@klcompanies.com . 2. Construction Manager has been engaged for this Project to serve as an advisor to Owner and to provide assistance in administering the Contract for construction between Owner and each Contractor, according to a separate contract between Owner and Construction Manager. a. Construction Manager also serves as Project coordinator, as defined in Section 011200 "Multiple Contract Summary." WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and backfill of existing buildings, and Masonry restoration and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. WORK PERFORMED BY OWNER A. Cooperate fully with Owner, so work may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying Work under this Contract or work by Owner. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed by Owner. B. Preceding Work: Owner will perform the following construction operations at Project site. Those operations are scheduled to be substantially complete before Work under this Contract begins.
