Renovation of an educational facility in Peebles, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
It Is The Intention Of The Board Of Education To Enter Into A Contract To Purchase And Install A Replacement Interior Lighting System For The Existing Lutron Lighting Systems For Peebles Elementary, North Adams Elementary, And West Union Elementary. The Bid Is For The Purchase And Installation Of Lighting And Lighting Controls Within These Three Schools: 1) Peebles Elementary: 700 Peebles Indian Drive, Peebles, Oh 45660 2) North Adams Elementary: 2295 Moores Road, Seaman, Oh 45679 3) West Union Elementary: 555 Lloyd Road, West Union, Oh 45693 Requirements For Project The Bidder Must Be A Direct Manufacturer Of The Led Lighting And Controls To Be Furnished. Must Provide An Entirely Turnkey Solution With Product And Installation Costs Separate. Must Not Allow For Subcontracting Any Installation Or Warranty Work Within The Warranty Period. Must Include A Parts And Labor Warranty Period For No Less Than 5 Years From The Date Of Installation. Must Possess Past Experience With Replacing Lutron Lighting Systems And Furnish References. Must Ensure All Emergency Backup Fixtures And Safety Chains Are Included Where Applicable. Contractor Agrees To Replace All Active End Connectors (Tombstones) As Well As Install Safety Chains Where Required (Please Provide This Pricing In The Materials Quote). All Products Must Be Ul, Etl, Dlc, And/or Energy Star Certified. Contractor Shall Wipe Down And Clean All Lenses, Inside And Out, During Installation. All Broken, Brittle, Or Discolored Acrylic Lenses/covers Shall Be Replaced (As Required). Contractor Agrees To Remove From Premises Daily, And Properly Legally Dispose Of According To Environmental Guidelines, All Materials Removed From Each School During The Installation Process. Award Criteria The Board Shall Award The Work To The Lowest Responsible Bidder. The Board Reserves The Right To Waive Any Minor Deviation Or Defect In Bids Received. The Board Further Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids.Contractor Agrees To Complete All Installation During Non-school Hours. All Selected Projects Must Be Completed By August 30th, 2024. Award Criteria The Board Shall Award The Work To The Lowest Responsible Bidder. The Board Reserves The Right To Waive Any Minor Deviation Or Defect In Bids Received. The Board Further Reserves The Right To Reject Any And All Bids. Proposal Content / Format The Bid Should Include All Of The Following Elements: A. A History And Description Of The Contractor Indicating Principal Business. Include Detailed Information On How The Contractor Meets The Qualification Evident By The Scope Of Work Requirements As Listed Herein. B. Provide A List And Description Of Similar Project Experience That Demonstrate The Contractor's Qualifications For This Project. C. Provide A List Of Current/former Clients Including The Name Of The Principal-in-charge, Their Mailing And E-mail Addresses And Telephone Number. D. Provide A Detailed Schedule For Completing The Project Work Necessary To Install The Lighting System And Controls. E. Provide A Detailed Description Of The Products Proposed To Be Installed. Include Information Regarding The Technical Specifications Of The Equipment As Well As Any Applicable Warranty Information. F. Provide A Price That Includes All Labor And Materials Necessary To Install The Required Equipment Including Any Applicable Permit Or Other Similar Fees. Label This Price As "Base Bid" G. Provide A Price For The Addition Of Occupancy Sensors For Each Classroom Space. Label This Price As "Alternate #1". For Details On Product Types, Specifications, Floor Plans And Counts, Please Request From Steve.wolfe@ovsd.us No Later Than April 09, 2024. Provide 7 Hard Copies Of Your Proposal Response. Questions Concerning The Project Or Requests For Site Visits Should Be Submitted By April 9th By Email To Steve.wolfe@ovsd.us. Insurance Requirements The Successful Bidder Must Certify That It Has And Maintains Sufficient General, Liability, And Auto Insurance For The Project. Contractor Must Also Verify That It Is Current On Workers' Compensation Premiums. 8) Contract Execution Subsequent To The Award, And Within 10 Days After The Prescribed Form Of Agreement Is Presented For His Signature, The Awardee Shall Execute And Deliver Them To The Board, In Such Number Of Counterparts As The Board May Require. The Failure Of The Awardee To Execute The Contract When The Agreement Is Presented For Signature, Or Within Such Extended Period As The Board May Grant, Based Upon Reasons Determined Adequate By The Board, Shall Constitute A Default; And The Board May Either Award The Contract To The Next Responsible Bidder Or Re-advertise For Bids. Additional Terms And Conditions The Successful Bidder Must Comply With All Federal, State, And Local Laws And Codes As May Be Applicable To The Scope Of Work Detailed Herein, Including All Labor Laws. Bids And Prices Must Remain Valid For Sixty (60) Days. The Parts And Labor Warranty Must Be No Less Than 5 Years From The Date Of Installation The Successful Bidder Will Enter Into A Contract With The Board, The Form Of Which Will Be Determined At A Later Time.
