Question Deadline 04/19/2024 The construction work will consist of the following major quantities: - 5,990 LF 36" Gravity Outfall - 280 LF 54" Encasement Pipe - 42 LF 12" Gravity Sewer - 123 LF 8" Gravity Sewer - 26 Ea. Sewer Manholes 4', 6' & 8' dia. - Triplex 24" Gravity Outfall (422 LF Ea.) - 2 Concrete Structures No bid may be withdrawn afterthe scheduled closing time for receipt of Bidsfor a period of ninety (90) days.Any Bids received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids will be returned to the Bidder unopened. The City reserves the right to retain Bids for a period of 90 days from receipt. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent of the amount of the Bid. Security may be in the form of cash, a certified check made payable to the City of Dunn, North Carolina and drawn on a bank or trust company insured under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a Bidder's Bond. Consideration will be given only to Bids of Contractors who are able to submit evidence showing that they are properly licensed under "An Act to Regulate the Practice ofGeneral Contracting",ratified by theGeneral Assembly of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and so subsequently amended. Small, minority, and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Both Performance Bond and a Payment Bond is required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract and upon the payment in full to all persons supplying labor and furnishing materials for and in connection with the construction of the project.
