o Bid Security will be required in the amount and form defined by the Instructions to Bidders and Amendment to the Instructions to Bidders. o Any proposed equal for a standard shall be submitted to the Architect no later than ten (10) days prior to the bid opening. The proposed equal shall be considered rejected if no Addendum is issued accepting the proposed equal. o No fewer than the four apparent low bidders shall submit information per DOCUMENT 001153 QUALIFICATION OF BID PROPOSAL which shall include the application of any reciprocal preference for resident bidders as prescribed by 200 KAR 5:400 in determining the successful bidder. o The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount not less than 100% of the Contract Sum. o Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the Work within the time specified noted in the Project Manual. o The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid and to reject any and/all bids. o No Bidder may modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid for sixty (60) days from the actual time and date designated for the receipt of Bids. Bids, including the Form of Proposal, Non-collusion Affidavit, and Bid Security, should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the name of the Project and the name of the Bidder and should be addressed to: Mr. Matt Rigg, Chief Operations Officer Representing the Kenton County Board of Education Kenton County School District Question Deadline 04/10/2024 All questions requiring additional information or clarification shall be submitted to the Architect
