The Board is proposing to construct a new addition for Community program space, adjacent to the existing hospice residence located in Barrie. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Architectural Services has been issued by the owner. The Architectural Services may be performed by the Architect, Architect's employees, and Consultants (Sub-Consultants) set forth herein or otherwise mutually agreed in writing. The Architectural Services shall include the provision of planning including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Hardware, Space Planner, Code, Signage, AODA when these Consultants ("Sub-Consultants") are engaged by the Architect, and may include services of other Consultants, as applicable, and includes the Successful Proponent consulting, coordinating and cooperating with all such Consultants and taking of whatever steps are necessary to ensure, in the professional opinion of the Architect, that the final plans and specifications provided by such Consultants will be complementary to the final design of the project, and both sufficient and practical to enable the full completion of the Project and its occupation and use when fully completed for the intended purpose and preparing record drawings showing changes to the Project made during construction based on marked-up prints, drawings and other data furnished by the Contractor to the Architect. During the Construction Phase of the project, the Architect shall provide the basic services set out in the Contract Agreement for Architectural Services arising out of this RFP, in accordance with and to all timelines contained within the construction contract entered into by the Architect and the general contractor for the project. The project is expected to proceed sometime in the summer 2024, with substantial completion by 2027. Hospice reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals in its absolute discretion, including where a Proponent has launched legal proceedings against Hospice or is otherwise engaged in a dispute with Hospice.
