Traffic Fiber Installation RFP's must be accompanied by a certified check upon some responsible bank of the State of Texas or a bid bond from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas in the amount of 10% of the bid. The amount of said check or bond will be forfeited to the Owner and the bank or surety shall be liable to the Owner for the amount in the event the successful proposer shall fail or refuse to enter into a contract or furnish bonds as hereafter required. The successful proposer must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from a Surety Company holding a permit in the State of Texas and approved by the Federal Government. The City of Conroe Police Department is seeking proposals for the installation of 24 strands of traffic fiber and the termination of 26 stands. SCOPE OF WORK Install (24) strand Corning fiber from the TxDOT traffic hub located under the FM 3083 West overpass on I-45. Terminate (24) strand Corning fiber in traffic hub into a Corning CCH-2U panel. Jump across I-45 utilizing existing conduit in route to the Conroe Police Department. Install a splice at FM 3083 West and Plantation Drive intersection. Install (12) strand to intersection traffic cabinet and make terminate to Corning 12F SM LC Loaded Cassettes CCH-CS12-A9-P00RXE. Then turning south along the west side of Plantation Drive and crossing the road to a pull box at the Northwest corner of the City of Conroe property. From this point we will need a bore along the east side of Plantation Drive rightof-way to a junction box located in front of Conroe PD. Then use the existing conduit to enter the building into the MDF. Conduits entering the building must be sealed after installation. Fiber to be terminated in rack mount enclosure.
