Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority ("Nashville MTA" hereinafter), doing business as WeGo Public Transit, (hereinafter may also be referred to as the "Agency," the "Authority," "WeGo Transit," "MTA" or "WeGo") is soliciting bids from firms qualified to provide safe access to the North Nashville Transit Center by enhancing (14) locations with ADA compliant tactile warning mats. Also, the project will reconstruct the existing curb ramps and install new pedestrian crosswalks that are ADA compliant. In connection with this project, Nashville MTA has established a specific goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation of 15%. Bidders are required to make good faith effort to cooperate with Nashville MTA in meeting its commitments and goal of 14% for goods and services for the fiscal years 2020- 2023. DBE participation is encouraged either in the capacity of the prime contractor or subcontractor. Bidders are required to document their activities in the bid and selection of any subcontractor(s) to ensure that the process is nondiscriminatory. If there is a discrepancy between the price written and the price listed in figures, Nashville MTA acknowledges that the price written is the correct price. Bidders are advised that the procurement resulting from this solicitation will be funded with those received from the Federal Transit Administration and the State of Tennessee.
