Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Design plans call for the renovation of a library; and theater / auditorium.

Upgrades, repairs and improvements to the former Saint-Sulpice library building to transform it into a cultiral facility housing activities of a Quebec House of Song and Music and Quebec Library of the National Archives. The project will include rehabilitation work on the building ensuring security and universal accessibility aimed at recalibrating the building into a multi-purpose space allowing it to offer a unique sound, visual, immersive and reactive environment including a scenographic route and a variety of events such as as conference launches, school and corporate workshops and interactive exhibitions. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a full team of architectural and engineering professional consultants for design of the project. Preliminary planning is underway. Working drawings are expected to begin in late fall 2024. Owner expects to phase the project implementation and issue a tender for the first phase contractor in late 2024/early 2025. Note. The firm WSP was awarded following the RFP 44538019 to provide the project commissioning services for the project.
