The project includes the resurfacing of various streets near Vera Avenue, Fourth Street, 7th Street, and Robert Avenue. The project spans approximately 7.7 center line miles and covers 162,500 square yards of asphalt which will be resurfaced through various combinations of asphalt rubber cape seals, class II slurry seals and micro seals. Also included are dig out and repair sections, striping removal and restoration, and concrete work. Pre-Bid Meeting. N/A The planned time frame for substantial completion of construction of the project is 60 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, (meaning the base bid plus all additive alternate prices, if any), in the form of cash, a certified or cashier's check made payable to the City of Ripon, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California. For your convenience, a Bid Bond form is included in the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for 100% of the Contract price Questions, requests for information, and requests for clarification regarding the Project, the bid procedures, or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing or by email, addressed to the City assigned project manager as follows.
