MPAC is soliciting bids for General Contractor services for repair and maintenance items that routinely arise at our 26 (twenty-six) offices across the province of Ontario, refer to Appendix I for a list of locations and addresses. MPACs intent is for the Successful Respondent to provide a quote for a specific scope of work as repair and maintenance items arise within an office. The Successful Respondent will coordinate with the required sub-trades for the specific request and oversee the scope of work through to completion. Where possible routine maintenance and repairs are forecasted, however, there are unplanned and urgent matters that do arise and would need to be addressed and prioritized by the Successful Respondent as urgent with immediate response, for example roof leak or plumbing backflow. It is MPACs intent to have one Successful Respondent, however due to the geographical locations of our offices, more than one Successful Respondent may need to be considered to support all our office locations. PROJECT SCOPE The following is a high-level summary of the types of services MPAC is seeking, not exhaustive: General Repair & Maintenance Services Electrical Services Plumbing Services HVAC Services Door & Lock Services Fire, Life and Safety Services Glass & Mirror Services Carpentry & Furniture Repair Services As repair and maintenance project arises, the Successful Respondent will be contacted by a member of the MPAC Facilities Management team and provided with a Scope Summary identifying the issue, supported with floor plans, site photos, building access, and other relevant details. Pending the complexity of the scope, quotes should be returned in 10 (ten) business days, once approved, scheduled accordingly in a timely manner. A site visit by the Successful Respondent may be required to ensure the successful completion of the project. Question Deadline: Wed Mar 27, 2024 2:00:00 PM (EDT) Duration in months: 60 MPAC offices are leased, MPAC is not a property owner. As a result, prior to the commencement of work, the following documentation for MPAC and our Landlords/Property Managers records is required (details to be included in the Summary Scope and provided upon approved quote). Current WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board) certificate. COI (Certificate of Insurance) property specific ownership outlined for the certificate holder and additional insured parties.
