DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT. Excavation and construction of an Industrial/Municipal Solid Waste Landfill cell including: excavation; structural fill; compacted clay liner; geosynthetic clay liner; geomembrane liner; sand drainage layer; geocomposite; HDPE piping with gravel backfill; leachate extraction pumps; storm water pond excavation; storm water lift station installation; access road construction; electrical work; groundwater and storm water management; and erosion control. REQUIRED LICENSE. Heavy Construction or Municipal & Public Works Construction ENGINEER S ESTIMATE. $4,800,000-$5,400,000 Document Notes : DEPOSIT. The deposit for each set of Bidding Documents is $100.00. Checks shall be made payable to DeSoto Parish Police Jury. Deposit for the first set is fully refundable to all bona fide prime Bidders upon return of the documents, in good condition, bound as issued, and free of marks, colors or notes, no later than ten days after receipt of bids. The deposit for all other sets of documents will be refunded 50% upon return of documents as stated above. General contractors not submitting bids on project will be refunded 50% of the deposit upon return of the bid documents in the condition and timeframe described above. BID SECURITY. Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and any alternatives and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier s check, or bid bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, and payable to the Owner. ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS. Bids shall only be accepted from contractors who are properly licensed under LA R.S. 37. No bid may be withdrawn after the bid opening except as allowed under the provisions of LA R.S. 38 and the Bid Documents. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause in accordance with LA R.S. 38. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
