Description: The project includes installation of approximately 4,415 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water main, 3,510 linear feet of 6-inch water main, 300 linear feet of 2-inch water main, 100 linear feet of 12-inch RJ DIP installed in a 24-inch bore and jack/steel encasement pipe, 190 linear feet of 6-inch RJ DIP installed in a 18-inch bore and jack/steel encasement pipe, 1 air release valve assembly, and 12 fire hydrant assemblies. Additional Description: The Town of Maiden has entered into agreement with Catawba County as a sub-recipient of awarded ARPA Funds for use on the Buffalo Shoals Waterline Project . Catawba County has been awarded Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFRF) by the Treasury Department under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). As such, the County allocated funds toward water infrastructure needs. Any contracts awarded pursuant to this Advertisement for Bids (hereinafter "AFB") must comply with the terms of ARPA, regulations issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury governing the expenditure of monies distributed from the Fiscal Recovery Funds (including, without limitation, the Interim Final Rule (86 Fed. Reg. 26,786 (May 17, 2021) and Final Rule (87 Fed. Reg. 4,338 (Jan. 27, 2022)), the Award Terms and Conditions applicable to the Fiscal Recovery Funds, and such other guidance as Treasury has issued or may issue governing the expenditure of monies distributed from the Fiscal Recovery Funds.
