The Village of Hanover Park (Village) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for landscape beautification at six (6) entryway signs and the Metra Station. There are existing block retaining walls and planting beds with various levels of existing plant material at six (6) entryway signs and near the Metra Station where the Village is looking to improve the quality of plantings. The Village would like to repair the retaining walls and improve the existing landscaping to provide year round aesthetic value. See Figure A below for the locations of the proposed project. Pictures of the six (6) entryway signs can be found in Attachment 1. The Village has the approval to perform the work at all locations. Any permitting required to access the sites will be obtained by the Village. Any permits required other than to access the site will be the responsibility of the selected company. The selected company will be tasked with reviewing all locations, creating two (2) landscape architectural drawings for each location, meeting with the Village to discuss those alternate, modifying the selected alternate based upon Village input, and ultimately construction the approved design. The total cost of the improvements, including placing/resetting of all retaining walls, design of the new plantings/walls, removal of existing plant material, and installation of new material is anticipated to be approximately $110,000. The pictures provided are only to give a reference for each of the entryway sign areas.
