Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide non-personal services to furnish all labor, tools,
equipment, transportation, materials, and supervision necessary to perform repairs to the aluminum
liner of the pool at Langley. This includes precision cutting and welding activities to ensure the
integrity and functionality of the pool's aluminum liner.
Cutting Holes in Aluminum Pool Liner:
o The contractor is to cut twelve (12) holes, each measuring 24 inches by 24 inches, in the
specified locations on the aluminum pool liner. These locations will be clearly marked and
provided by the overseeing authority at Langley.
Welding Patches for Holes:
o Following the cutting phase and an intervening period as directed by the government, the
contractor shall weld aluminum patches into each of the twelve (12) holes to restore the pool
liner's integrity. This welding must ensure a water-tight seal capable of withstanding the
operational pressures of the pool.
Inspection:
o Upon completion of the work, the contractor shall inform the Langley representative to
schedule an inspection. All work will be inspected by Langley's designated authority prior to
acceptance. The contractor must ensure that the repair work meets all specified requirements
and standards for safety and quality.
Timeline:
o Lead Time: The contractor must be ready to begin work within 1-2 weeks of contract award.
o Completion: The project, including both cutting and subsequent welding phases, is expected to
be completed within the agreed lead time, allowing for the pool's timely return to service. The
specific timing for welding and patching will be determined based on government direction.
Contractor Requirements:
o The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials, equipment, and labor to
complete the project as described.
o All work must comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
o The contractor will perform a final walkthrough with the Langley representative to ensure the
quality and durability of the repairs
