Site work for a water / sewer project in Randolph, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials and equipment required for the project and related construction for the Bid Price. The work is to be coordinated by the Contractor with a Project Manager located on the construction site. The Contractor is to provide administrative and scheduling personnel as well as provide all the labor, superintendence, materials, plant, tools and equipment necessary and required for properly performing and completing the work as described and more particularly specified within the time stipulated. He is to furnish, erect, maintain and remove the construction plant and such temporary works as may be required. These requirements include, but are not restricted to, suitable quarters for workers where necessary, including temporary sanitary facilities, water supply, heat and light for the workers as well as for construction purposes. Existing public roads which are adjacent to the construction site may be affected by construction activities on the site. The Contractor will be required to and maintain these roads in a safe condition which is suitable for the public use. The cost of connection to, or extension of, existing utility services from locations on the existing property is to be borne by the Contractor under this Contract. This project will include the replacement of flow metering equipment, electrical equipment/conduit and wire and rehabilitation at the Stiles Street Meter Chamber. This project will also include the installation of one (1) pre-fabricated meter chamber and the replacement of flow metering equipment, electrical equipment, installation of conduit and wire and rehabilitation, and installation of sanitary sewer and a doghouse manhole, at the Gregory Avenue Pump Station. The work shall be completed within 240 calendar days of the Contractor's receipt of written Notice to Proceed. Bids may be hand delivered, mailed, or submitted by courier, and must be received by the time, date, and place specified above. The Township of Morris will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five (5) days after the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2.
