The City of Statesboro is Soliciting for Sealed Bids for a Natural Gas System Improvement Project From Qualified Contractors for the Furnishing of Material, Labor, Tools, Skill, Equipment and Incidentals for the Construction and Installation of the Candler County Industrial Park Gas Main, Metter, Georgia. The Bid Must Include a Copy of the Utility Contractors License and Appropriate Insurance Certificates. All Bid Forms Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond in an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid. The Successful Bidder, if Awarded the Contract, Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, Each in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. Minority and Female Owned Business Enterprise Participation (MFBE) It is the Intent of the City of Statesboro to Encourage Participation by Minority and Female Owned Business Enterprises (MFBE) for All Procurement Processes. The Construction Phase of This Project Shall Include a Minimum 20% Minority or Female Business Enterprise Participation of Total Construction Cost. All Submittals for This Invitation to Bid Must Include a Statement Acknowledging Compliance With 20% MFBE Requirement at Time for Submittal of Sealed Bids. Upon Submittal of Sealed Bids, Pre-qualified Contractors Will Be Required to Provide Proof of MFBE Certification (if the General/prime Contractor is a Certified MFBE) or Provide a List of MFBE Sub-contractors, Identify Percentage of Participation by Each Subcontractor and Proof of Minority or Female Owned Business Certification for Proof of Compliance With This Section Requirement.
