Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Wichita, Kansas. Design plans call for the construction of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
As of June 6, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Design and administer construction administration services required to construct a facility for the Department of Corrections (DOC). Building to be approximately 50,000 total square feet in order to combine multiple functions and services for the (DOC) under one roof. A/E coordination is expected throughout all phases of the project. Any questions regarding this document must be submitted via email to Lee Barrier at Lee.Barrier@sedgwick.gov by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024. Any questions of a substantive nature will be answered in written form as an addendum and posted on the purchasing website
