Site work and paving for a road / highway in East Freetown, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Town of Freetown is hereby soliciting sealed bids for Milling and Resurfacing of Chipaway Road and Various Streets Milling & Resurfacing Project. The work consists of pavement milling and resurfacing of approximately 3.2 miles of local streets. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND. CASH, or CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the Class of Work as Pavement - Surfacing for the project. Sealed envelopes containing bids must be clearly marked in accordance with the Bidding Contract Requirements The work to be performed under the Base Bid consists of pavement milling and/or placement of 1 1/2 inches of pavement overlay on the following streets in the town of Freetown: Street Name Length (approx.) Width (approx.) Chipaway Road 12,000 feet 22 feet Allen Street 1,200 feet 22 feet Pinewood Court 1,150 feet 26 feet Morton Road 3,200 feet 28 feet he work consists of pavement milling and placement of 1 1/2inches of pavement overlay on several streets located in the southeastern section of the Town of Freetown, as shown on the following figure and described below. Base Bid - The streets included in the Base Bid are: Chipaway Road - Chipaway Road runs from its intersection with Bullock Road southeasterly to the New Bedford municipal line, a distance of approximately 12,000 feet. Milling and overlay is proposed along its entire length, with the exception of the area crossing the railroad tracks, which has been recently repaved. Morton Road - Morton Road runs from the Middleboro Road (Route 18) intersection easterly to the Rochester Town line. Approximately 1,400 feet of the Morton Road will be milled and overlayed. Allen Street - Allen Street intersects with Morton Road and runs in a southerly direction to its intersection with Winfield Street, a distance of approximately 1,200 feet. Placement of 11/2 inches of pavement overlay is proposed along with potential driveway reconstruction (no milling). Pinewood Court - Pinewood Court is a subdivision roadway beginning at Middleboro Road (Route 18) and running approximately 1,150 feet easterly, ending in a cul-de-sac. Placement of 1 1/2 inches of pavement overlay is proposed along with potential driveway reconstruction (no milling)
