This work is the construction of a polymer-modified emulsified asphalt membrane (UTWCEM) immediately overlaid with an ultra-thin bonded wearing course of hot-mix asphalt concrete (UTWC) in one pass of a single paving machine. This work is for the supply of a hard, durable, uniformly graded and cubical coarse aggregate for installing a high-performance chip seal. This work includes the cleaning and sealing of random cracks in existing bituminous pavements. This work shall be performed complete in-place. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the application of the crack sealant and any necessary labor and equipment for the maintenance and protection of traffic. All work shall be completed as per Penn DOT Publication 408/2016 Section 469, Penn DOT Publication 213, and the specifications listed herein.
