Purchase of chemicals for use in the operation of the Mt. Pocono Sewage Treatment Plant. Bidder shall prepare the Chemical Bid for three (3) alternate costs, based on a one (1) year, two (2) year and three (3) year contract period. The Authority reserves the right to select a one-year, two-year or threeyear contract period. The following chemicals are used at the noted approximate quantities: liquid Aluminum Sulfate -175 gallons bulk per week or as needed; Magnesium Hydroxide75 to 100 gallons per week or as needed; Sodium Bicarbonate, when and as needed; Polymer-9,000 lbs. per year or as needed; Chlorine Gas-150 lb. cylinder as needed; granular and 3" tablet non stabilized Chlorine as needed; Defoamer-55 gallons as needed; Muratic Acid-30 gallons as needed; Simple Green-55 gallons as needed; and Deodorizer-55 gallons as needed. All chemicals must be ASTM certified. MSDS sheets for all chemicals shall be submitted to the Mount Pocono Municipal Authority prior to first delivery. Delivery will be on an as-needed basis. The Mt. Pocono Sewage Treatment Plant has limited mechanical means to unload the truck Question Deadline 04/01/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Contract Type: Term Contract The contract term shall commence on June 1, 2024 and terminate May 31, of given year 2025, 2026, or 2027 for the specific contract term approved by the MPMA Board of Directors. Questions concerning chemicals or equipment that may be hazardous should be addressed to the department head or designee. MPMA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any proposal which omits a bid on any one or more items on the price sheet may be rejected; any proposal containing changes or modifications to the price sheet may be rejected; any proposal that does not include unit pricing in the unit of measure indicated may be rejected; any proposal in which unit prices are omitted or in which unit prices are obviously unbalanced may be rejected.
