A timeline for award has not yet been established.** This project will install safety countermeasures in the form of centerline striping and centerline rumble strips targeted at reducing the annual occurrence of severe and fatal crashes at seven primary project locations throughout San Luis Obispo County. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $481,605.00. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in favor of the County in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted total Bid. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by County to ensure performance under the Contract or, in the alternative, request the County to make payment of retention to an escrow agent. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the County with payment and performance bonds, with each issued by a California admitted surety insurer equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The contractor, subrecipient, or subcontractor shall take necessary and reasonable steps to ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in this contract. The DBE goal is 18 percent.
