Fargo Public Schools (District) is seeking sealed bids for the reconstruction of seven (7) storm drains located at the following locations: North High School (801 17th Ave. N) one repair, Longfellow Elementary School (20 29th Ave NE) one repair, Centennial Elementary School (4201 25th St S) one repair, Operations Center (3901 40th Ave S) one repair and Kennedy Elementary School (4401 42nd St S) three repairs. Work will begin as soon as possible at the Operations Center, Centennial & Kennedy. Work at Longfellow and North High is to begin no earlier than Saturday, June 1st without owner approval. Each area drain should be excavated and reconstructed from the inlet cover to the invert of the drainpipe. Reconstruction should be similar to that of original design. Existing storm sewer structure should be excavated in manner to be inspected and to determine component replacement. Concrete collars must be poured around the outside of the structures. Excavated clay must be hauled away and the storm drain area must be back filled with class 5 gravel. Any pavement disturbed or removed during the repair process should be replaced with pavement matching existing. Substitutions may be approved by owner. All work must be completed by June 30, 2024. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder that meets all specifications. Awards will not necessarily be made based on price alone. Suitability to purpose, design, quality, past service, date of delivery, or other factors deemed to be in the best interest of the District may also be considered. The District shall be the sole judge of these factors. In all instances, the decision rendered by the District shall be final and not subject to contest by others. The Board of Education, Fargo, North Dakota, reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty (30) days, to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any formalities thereof.
