Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) current 5-year Capital Program is comprised of five budget classifications: State of Good Repair & Safety, Legislated, Service Improvements, Capacity Enhancements, Improvements and Expansion. Budgets are established to replace or rehabilitate assets based on condition assessments, engineering standards, legislative requirements or safety/environmental implications. 1.2 Included in the Infrastructure Program are the Roofing Rehabilitation Program and the Masonry Structures Rehabilitation Program. Typical facilities within this program include but are not limited to: subway stations, car houses, garages, shops, substations, emergency exit buildings, chimneys and other facilities totaling approximately 440,000 square metres of roof building area. A Request For Proposals has been awarded for four (4) design consultants to assist the TTC with the Multi-Discipline, Design and Engineering Services for evaluation, assessment, analysis, design and engineering support during construction for the rehabilitation of existing TTC roofs and masonry structures at various TTC locations. The awarded proponents will work on an as-needed basis to provide Multi-Discipline Design and Engineering Services for evaluation, assessment, analysis, design and engineering support during construction for the rehabilitation of existing TTC roofs and masonry structures. The Work may include but is not limited to, design and engineering services from the following disciplines: Architectural, and all engineering disciplines, as well as Quantity Surveying/Estimating, Specification Writer, Code Consulting. Other disciplines as required to ensure the intended scope of work is completed. The projects resulting from these works will be followed at the tender stage. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
