The work for Contract No. 76, Resurfacing Of Collins Road, includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work consists of the HMA milling and resurfacing of approximately 10,416 square yards of roadway, full-depth widening of approximately 670 square yards of roadway, construction of concrete curbing and sidewalk, and installation of traffic stripes, traffic markings, and RPMs in the Township of Galloway. The work is located within the Township of Galloway on Collins Road from Wrangleboro Road to Society Hill Drive. The work shall be completed within sixty (60) days of the Notice to Proceed or be subject to liquidated damages of $500.00 per day. All prospective bidders are advised that all work on the project is intended to be completed during July and August of 2024 while schools are out of session for summer break. A Notice to Proceed will be issued no later than July 1, 2024 and all work must be completed within sixty (60) days of the Notice to Proceed. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of an original bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, provided that the said security need not be more than $20,000 nor less than $500.00 and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities or irregularities in bids received. Challenges to bid specifications must be made, in writing, addressed to the Owner, at least, three (3) business days prior to the bid opening date. Challenges filed otherwise will not be considered. Successful bidders must provide a photocopy of their "Certificate of Employee Information Report" or the pink copy of the AA-302 form within seven (7) days after the notification of intent to award the contract or receipt of contract, whichever is sooner. Failure to do so will result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive. Successful bidders will also be required to submit bonds and proof of insurance on or before execution of their respective Contracts as explained in the Contract Documents. If the Contract is awarded, no refunds will be given. If for any reason the Contract is not awarded, refunds will be made to bidders pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-24(b) when the Contract Documents are returned in reasonable condition within 90 days of notice that the Contract has not been awarded.
