Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services required for: SMOKE/CO DETECTOR INSTALLATION AND RELATED WORK Parkview Homes, GA 3-1, Broadacres, GA 3-2 & Towne View Place, GA 3-11 ATHENS, GEORGIA A Certified Check or Bank Draft drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, payable to Athens Housing Authority, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Project Manual and in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the Contract Amount. Bids shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. The General Contractors submitting bids or being considered for this work shall be licensed to perform such work by the State in which the work is located and shall submit evidence of such license before his bid may be opened or considered. Attention is called to the fact that salaries not less than the Davis-Bacon wage rates as published by the U.S. Department of Labor and as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this Project. All contractors shall be required to comply with the equal employment and Section 3 requirements of the Federal Government.
