The City of Millington will be soliciting bids for New Raw Water Supply Well on the property located next to its South Water Treatment Plant at 5041 Waycross Road in Millington, Tennessee. The New Raw Water Supply Well is necessary to provide additional raw water to facilitate the expansion of the City's existing South Water Treatment Plant. The proposed well will extend approximately 1,500 feet into the Fort Pillow strata and deliver approximately 1,500 gallons per minute of raw water to the treatment plant to serve the citizens of the City of Millington. Included in this project will be ancillary site work, piping, valves, electrical and other necessary and appurtenant work. This project is being supported with Treasury, Coronavirus State and Local Recovery Fund grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor with the State of Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors with a specialty, S-Well Drilling, and licensed to do business with the City of Millington.
