The City of Marshall is seeking proposals for tree trimming/removal of dead limbs from a stand of trees located at 868 S. Brunswick, known as the Old Fitzgibbon Hospital Site. The trees, located along the western side of the property were planted in memorial and consist primarily of hard maple. The city is seeking proposals from qualified tree trimmers and/or arborists for tree trimming services to include removal of dead limbs/ wood that may be detrimental to the health of the tree and the safety of visitors at the site. Proposals should incorporate best practices for ensuring the continued life of the tree and exclude techniques such as topping, lion-tailing, stub and heading cuts, etc. Precautions should be taken to ensure that no heavy equipment be allowed to damage the root systems or tree trunks. Those submitting proposals should provide evidence of proper licensure including a city business license and insurance.
