Drainage improvements along Amundson Drive will be constructed from the northeast corner of Faram Park to the existing drop inlet approximately 170 feet east. A certified check or cashier's check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to the City of North Richland Hills, Texas, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as are required. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, will be required on this project. Additionally, a two (2) year maintenance bond, in the amount of not less than twenty percent (20%) of the final contract price, will be required on this project. The successful bidder, upon his/her failure or refusal to execute and deliver the contract and bonds required within ten (10) days after he/she has received notice of the acceptance of his/her bid, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his/her bond.
