Site work and paving for a road / highway in Murrieta, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

2024 Asphalt Replacement - Project Scope of Work o Contractor to verify all dimensions and existing conditions prior to bid. Provide temporary traffic control and barriers as needed to protect work in place through duration of project. o Remove, haul away, and recycle/properly dispose of approximately 56,000 square feet of existing asphalt as shown on plan. o Remove all asphalt carefully to avoid damage to perimeter curbs, guters, pavements, and sidewalks. Concrete damage during removal operations shall be replaced by the contractor at no additional charge. o Mark and protect in place all valve boxes. o Scarify and re-compact all existing subgrade to 95% relative compaction. o Install prime coat to base and tack to all adjoining surfaces prior to placing new asphalt. o Install new asphalt maintaining existing elevations, to same thickness as existing, or a minimum of four inches, whichever is greater. Surface to be let + or - 1/8" over 10'. o Provide temporary restriping per existing layout. o Return in 30 days, apply seal coat and permanent striping per existing layout. Locations- Cole Canyon Elementary School - 23750 Vía Alisol, Murrieta, CA 92562 Murrieta Valley High School - 42200 Nighthawk Wy, Murrieta, CA 92562, Thompson Middle School - 24040 Hayes Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562, Tovashal Elementary School - 23801 St Raphael Dr, Murrieta, CA 92562, Warm Springs Middle School - 39245 Calle De Fortuna, Murrieta, CA 92563 Time for Completion: It is hereby understood and agreed that the Work under this Contract shall be completed as follows: Cole Canyon Elementary School, Thompson Middle School, and Tovashal Elementary School: shall commence on June 10, 2024 and be completed by June 28, 2024. Murrieta Valley High School and Warm Springs Middle School: shall commence on July 1, 2024 and be completed by July 12, 2024. There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference (Job Walk) on April 1, 2024, at 9:00 AM beginning at Cole Canyon Elementary School, 23750 Via Alisol, Murrieta, California 92562, followed by Murrieta Valley High School, 42200 Nighthawk Way, Murrieta, CA 92562, followed by Thompson Middle School, 24040 Hayes Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562, followed by Tovashal Elementary School, 23801 St Raphael Dr, Murrieta, CA 92562, followed by Warm Springs Middle School, 39245 Calle De Fortuna, Murrieta, CA 92563. All participants are required to sign in. Any Contractor bidding on the Project who fails to attend the entire mandatory Pre- Bid Conference/Job walk will be deemed a nonresponsive bidder and will have its bid returned unopened. All bids must be signed by the bidder in permanent ink and submitted in sealed envelopes, bearing on the outside, the bidder's name, address, telephone number, and California Contractor's License number, the name of the Project, the Bid Number for which the bid is submitted, and clearly state attention Purchasing Department. If the bid is being delivered by a carrier service, the envelope that carries the required sealed package must state at minimum the vendor's name, reference the Bid Number, and be directed to the Purchasing Department. The District reserves the right to reject any bid if all of the above information is not furnished. It is each bidder's sole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified above. Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened. This Project is being let in accordance with the formal bid requirements of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act ("CUPCCAA") set forth in Public Contract Code section 22000 et seq. (specifically, the formal bidding procedures in Section 22032(c)). Bidders shall comply with any requirements set forth in the CUPCCAA including all guidelines and requirements in the current California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission Cost Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. Industrial Relations the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute the Contract. These per diem rates, including holiday and overtime work, as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes, are on file at the District, and are also available from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to California Labor Code section 1720 et seq., itshall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Any request for substitutions pursuant to Public Contract Code section 3400 must be made (5) business days prior to the bid submission deadline on the Bid on the Substitution Request Form set forth in the Contract Documents and included with the bid. No telephone or facsimile machine will be available to bidders on the District premises at any time. It is each bidder'ssole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location and Purchasing Department designated as specified above. Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened. PROPOSED ASPHALT WORK LOCATIONS - 7,035 SQ.FT
