Project Overview: Harmony Public Schools (HPS), dba Houston North/South/West TX, North TX, Central TX, South TX, and West TX districts open-enrollment charter schools, will be accepting competitive sealed proposals for approximately 180,000 sqft Safety and Security Window Film project across to Texas campuses. The project scope of work includes purchasing supplies, materials, equipment, travel, labor, and other operations required work as specified in the project documents. (#HPS2024 Safety and Security Window Film). HPS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY NON-RESPONSIVE OR CONDITIONAL PROPOSAL Prevailing Wage Rates. A worker, laborer, or mechanic employed on a public work by or on behalf of HPS shall be paid: (1) not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed; and (2) not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal holiday and overtime work. Liquidated Damages: Time is of the essence regarding the performance of all Work. If the Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion on or before July 26, 2024, Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages, $500 per day for each calendar day that Substantial Completion is delayed thereafter. Estimated Budget: The estimated budget for this project is $ 3,000,000. Proposers may submit questions through the HPS ebid system at Question cutoff date and time is Monday, April 8, 2024, at 4:00 pm CST. Proposers are required to complete all sections provided in the ebid system. Proposals that have been opened may not be changed for the purpose of correcting an error in the price. Other than price, a proposer may have the right to change any other error or mistake in the bid as may be permitted by applicable law and subject to the approval of HPS, unless such change would be in contravention of statutory or common law requirements or unless such change would give an unfair advantage to the proposer making such change.
